A year in review

Cooking is love made edible

Happy New Year!

We hope this finds you enjoying an easy start to 2016. The past year has been a big one for Dinner on the Table. But before we launch into our New Year's Resolutions we wanted to tell you about the achievements we're really proud of for 2015.

We hope this finds you enjoying an easy start to 2016. The past year has been a big one for Dinner on the Table, but before we launch into our New Year's Resolutions we wanted to tell you about the achievements we're really proud of for 2015.

We firmly believe that having your dinner done for you changes your daily life. When the resources are scarce and the challenges great, such as when a family member has a disability, the impact of having dinner done may be even greater.

That's why we have a number of customers (all of whom have a family member with a disability) who, just like you, order dinners each and every week, and Dinner on the Table picks up the tab.

So, think of this as our 2015 report card, which we wanted to share with you. In 2015 we gave away:

  • 211 dinners
  • serving 743 adult portions
  • representing 10% of our total sales
For every $80 order you place, $8 is used to cook dinner for a family living with disability.
In 2015 we started partnering with a disability service, who released funding for clients to purchase meals from Dinner on the Table. When we include these dinners cooked for vulnerable families, it goes like this:

    • 244 dinners
    • serving 861 adult portions
    • representing just over 12% of our sales

This partnership means we can support even more families with no-cost meals. It is recognition that having dinner done for you changes daily lives.

On 12 January we'll be back on the road delivering dinner to you. You'll find all the options right here. If you're heading away in January, why not avoid expensive, unhealthy takeaway and pack an esky full of delicious dinners, all ready to heat and serve instead? We'll even lend you an insulated box and icepacks for the task!
