These meatballs are based on a recipe from a Moroccan cookbook the senior recipe tester and I received as a wedding present. From memory, it was the senior recipe tester who cooked the original recipe first, not me. Since that time, we've found many excuses to cook it.

And so now, we can cook them for you. Flavoured with the delicious spices of Northern Africa, they won't frighten younger diners, but won't make you feel like you're eating, er, how shall we put this, 'kiddie dinner'?

Our meatballs are handrolled from premium beef mince, roasted in the hotplate and then simmered in a rich, tomato sauce. Delivered to your home frozen they only need reheating, and you'll have dinner served before you know it.

Heating instructions

Reheat gently. Serve with couscous or pasta. Or, tip
into a baking dish, scatter with mozarella and feta.
Cook 180C for 15-20mins until golden and
bubbling. From frozen, defrost in fridge overnight
or on microwave defrost function. Reheat as above.
