Cottage Pie (Frozen)
I grew up calling this Shepherd's Pie. I now know this is an error, and shall be speaking with my mother severely. Shepherds are into lambs. Cottages are into beef apparently.
Whatever you call it, this is one of those dinners you think you've grown out of until you eat it again and realise what a preposterous idea that is, because why would you want to give it up?
This version is somewhat grown up with its combination of premium beef mince, veggies, herbs and spices, but not so grown up that the non-grown ups in your household won't enjoy it too. Topped with mashed potato and ready for your oven, what's not to love?
Ingredients: Beef mince, potato, carrots, celery, milk, butter, vegetable stock (housemade), tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, garlic, fennel, oregano
