In any family, there is always someone known for their culinary skills in some particular dish or treat. My aunt is both a guacamole dip & sponge cake ninja (never served together!) My best friend is queen of the all comforting pasta bake.

My grandmother made shortbread.

It was short. It was buttery. It often had an almond (my favourite) or a tiny piece of glace cherry (not so much) poked into it. It was delicious.

For me, the shortbread we have created here is reminiscent of days spent by my grandparents' pool with our cousins, swimming until our lips were blue and our fingers could barely hold the shortbread we greedily consumed.

Food is surely about conjuring happy memories, shared with your people. And this gift box does just that.
