Satay Chicken


It was Kate who originally discovered this recipe. And so we had to cook it. And then we had to cook it for you.

When I was a child, I remember my mum cooking Satay Chicken. For us, it was a whole new deal. It was exotic. Now, of course, satay chicken is one of those dishes that just is. But it is absolutely delicious.

For this dinner we use drumsticks, seared and then roasted in a delicious peanut-y sauce. It's not too spicy (don't be put off by the colourful garnish in the photos!) and will become a firm favourite in your house.

Delivered to your home frozen, you can reheat it in the oven straight from the freezer (no need to defrost first), cook some rice to go alongside and dinner is done.

For a small serve you'll receive four drumsticks, for a large, eight.

Ingredients: Chicken drumsticks, coconut milk, peanut butter, spinach, peanuts, vegetable stock, garlic, chilli, lemongrass, rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, pepper, salt.
