Tuna Pasta Bake (Frozen)
Ok, I'll admit it. This isn't a recipe I found. It's a recipe the senior recipe tester discovered. In fact, it's become his go-to dinner, on the nights that he cooks (which I also have to admit have been pretty frequent of late!) And the junior recipe testers always get excited when this is on the dinner table. In fact, we all get excited about it: it's delicious.
One of my oldest and dearest friends cooks pasta bakes by the dozen for family and friends in crisis. And because of this, pasta bake always makes me think of warmth and comfort and that I am loved. And don't we all need a little more of that in our lives? So I want to cook for you a dinner that people I love cook for me.
We have the fabulous Julie Goodwin to thank for this: the quintessential family cook, and down right good woman. I have tweaked it just slightly, because I can't help but diddle with things. The senior recipe tester always says he will die of shock the day I cook a recipe exactly as it is written in the recipe book. He, on the other hand, follows recipes to the letter.
Loads of fresh vegetables, pasta, tuna in a creamy sauce. There's not much not to love in my opinion. This will come to you in a tray ready for your oven.
Heat. Serve. We have eaten this as is, given that it has a stack of veg in it. For extra variety, steam some greens, or toss a salad to go alongside.
